Technical Sales Executive - North
Job location: New Delhi
Key Information
- Experience: 4–6 years
- Industry: Engineering Systems / Industrial Water & Wastewater / Industrial Equipment
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Role Type: Individual Contributor
About Pristine Water
Pristine Water is an engineering company providing innovative water and wastewater treatment solutions to industrial, commercial, agricultural and institutional customers. Our solutions include electrochemical water and wastewater treatment systems, disinfection systems, water treatment and process solutions.
We are looking for a Technical Sales Executive who can independently drive sales in an assigned geography—from identifying new opportunities and developing customer relationships to preparing and negotiating offers and closing orders.
The Role
This is a hands-on individual contributor sales role. The person will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy in the assigned region and building a strong pipeline of new and repeat business.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable selling technical/engineering systems, can understand customer requirements, identify upcoming projects, engage with multiple stakeholders and take an opportunity through the complete sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & New Customer Acquisition
- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities within the assigned region.
- Prospect through direct outreach, market mapping, references, industry networks, exhibitions, consultants and other channels.
- Meet customers, understand their requirements and identify opportunities where Pristine Water’s solutions can add value.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers and projects.
Project & Market Tracking
- Identify and track new industrial, infrastructure, commercial and other relevant projects coming up in the region.
- Develop relationships with consultants, EPC companies, contractors, OEMs, project developers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project timelines, decision-makers, technical requirements and procurement processes.
- Ensure that Pristine Water is introduced and considered early in relevant projects.
Technical Sales
- Understand customer requirements and work with the technical team to identify appropriate solutions.
- Discuss technical requirements and system configurations with customers and consultants.
- Prepare and present commercial and technical proposals in coordination with the internal team.
- Explain the benefits, applications and commercial value of Pristine Water’s solutions to customers.
Sales Closure
- Follow up systematically on enquiries, proposals and active opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial terms and offers with customers within company guidelines.
- Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through technical discussions, commercial negotiations and purchase order.
- Take ownership of achieving sales targets and converting the assigned pipeline into orders.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with existing customers and develop long-term relationships.
- Identify repeat business, upgrades, expansions and additional opportunities within existing accounts.
- Ensure that customer requirements and commitments are communicated effectively to the internal team.
- Maintain accurate records of customers, opportunities, project status and follow-ups.
What We Are Looking For
- 4–6 years of experience in sales, preferably in technical sales of engineering systems, industrial equipment, water/wastewater treatment systems, process equipment, electrical/mechanical systems, or similar products.
- Experience selling B2B technical or engineered solutions will be strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop new customers and close sales.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and have meaningful technical discussions with customers and consultants.
- Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of the complete sales cycle—from lead generation to order closure.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region for customer and project meetings.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
- Should be confident interacting with customers, consultants, contractors and senior decision-makers.
- Should be self-driven, organized and comfortable working independently.
Education
Educational qualification is not a constraint.
The candidate must have:
- Completed schooling, and
- A graduate-level qualification, diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
A strong track record in technical sales will be valued more highly than the specific academic discipline or institution.
Who Will Succeed in This Role?
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a hunter, not someone who waits for enquiries to come in.
- Enjoys meeting customers and developing relationships.
- Is comfortable understanding and selling technical products.
- Takes ownership of opportunities and follows them through to closure.
- Is persistent with follow-ups without being overly aggressive.
- Can work independently and manage their own territory and pipeline.
- Is commercially minded and comfortable negotiating.
- Is curious about how engineering systems work and can learn new technologies quickly.
- Is accountable for results and sales numbers.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a team-management role. The position is for an individual contributor who will personally develop the market, manage customer relationships, track projects, build the sales pipeline and close business.
Key Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured through:
- New customers acquired
- Qualified sales pipeline developed
- New projects identified and converted
- Sales/orders achieved
- Conversion of enquiries and opportunities
- Repeat business from existing customers
- Customer and consultant relationships developed
- Timeliness and quality of opportunity follow-up
If you enjoy technical selling, building relationships and taking ownership of a territory from prospecting to closure, we’d like to hear from you.
